La Astroflex® è situata nel comune di Collegno, in provincia di Torino, su un’area di 12.500 mq dei quali 7.000 mq coperti.
Il magazzino occupa circa 1500 mq ed è dotato di 12 unità automatiche KARDEX TRANSTOCKER SHUTTLE.
Laboratorio chimico e meccanico
L’area destinata all’attività di costruzione e manutenzione dei macchinari di produzione occupa circa 500mq.
Circa 4.000 mq sono destinati alla produzione. I nostri uffici commerciale e tecnico occupano ben 1.000 mq!
OUR HISTORY
Astroflex® is a joint-stock company founded in 1991, specializing in the production of flexible metal tubes and bellows from DN 4 to DN 110. The production has always used machinery and equipment designed and built entirely in-house.
The main technologies used are:
- WELDING WITH TIG PLASMA LASER PROCESSES AND RESISTANCE
- SOFT SOLDERING WITH INDUCTION HEATING, STRONG SOLDERING WITH COPPER ALLOY OR NICKEL IN A FURNACE WITH REDUCING ATMOSPHERE AT 1100°C
- AXIAL SYMMETRICAL HYDROFORMING OF CORRUGATIONS OF FLEXIBLE PIPES AND BELLOWS
- MECHANICAL FORMING OF FLEXIBLE HOSES
- BRAIDING WITH WIRES OR PLATES
All Astroflex® products undergo leak testing using different systems according to product characteristics and user requirements. As the flexible tube is a pressure vessel, its manufacture is subject to the requirements of the PED 97/23 EC directive.
The notified body for the certification of compliance with the mandatory requirements is the TUV SUD identification code 0948.
Astroflex® Spa was born from the will of a few people, and over the years has been able to register numerous patents for the invention of tubes and solutions now universally known and used in Italy and abroad.
The company has grown in the years following its foundation, registering brands that have now become commonplace in the sector.
Despite the heavy crisis that since 2008 has held back Italian industrial expansion, Astroflex® has been resisting the hydro-meteorological-sanitary and industrial market for more than 20 years, with an indisputable propensity towards newer and more particular applications, offering every market challenge its technical expertise and sparkling imagination that has allowed it to meet the most varied needs of its Italian and foreign customers.
ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE
Particular importance is given to the equipment of the laboratories for the management of returns and quality control in production, which house the most advanced equipment for micro and macrographic analysis, for chemical analysis and mechanical tests to which the raw materials are subjected, for visual and dimensional examinations, for fatigue tests to which Astroflex® products are subjected, to ensure compliance with design requirements and to continuously monitor compliance with legal requirements and the highest standards of quality and reliability.
The Quality Control office extends its work to the complete production cycle, from the acceptance control with the collaboration of the warehouse and qualified suppliers of which it is a partner, to the process control, thanks to specialized personnel trained in the sometimes complex operations that lead to the realization of the finished product, to the final control of the tube ready for shipment, the sum of all the steps of verification that make up the manufacturing plan of the same, and the final stage of packaging and shipping, sometimes customized at the request of the end customer.
The technical office is equipped with computerized calculation and drawing systems and solid modelling. Autocad 2012 programs produced by Autodesk are used for the drawing and the Siemens NX10 program is used for the 3D modelling.
